Our parish is filled with “spirit and heart”. We are dedicated to our parish life with ministries encompassing the men’s group, young adults, social activities, fund raising, prayer chain, parish directory, and the welcoming ministry.
Upon the request of the parish council, members of this ministry work together and plan social activities for our community. The annual parish chicken barbecue, pancake breakfast, and appreciation celebrations are examples of the social events that our parishioners enjoy. Please consider participating in this important community building ministry by sharing new ideas for activities and your gift of time.
The prayer chain is a network of parishioners who receive and share prayer requests and include the particular person or special intention in daily prayer. The minister records the name or special intention in a prayer journal, contacts members of the prayer chain by email or phone tree, and prays! The time commitment for this ministry is your daily prayer time. New prayers are welcome to participate either in the phone tree or by e-mail. This ministry extends a warm welcome to new parishioners, shares information about parish ministries, encourages participation and coordinates hospitality events to greet new parishioners. Volunteers are needed to develop this new ministry for our community. If you enjoy meeting new people and sharing the “good news” about our parish, please share your gifts of hospitality and time.
