Social Justice

Pro Life

Our parish pro-life committee upholds the central tenet of Catholic Social Justice teaching: the sanctity of human life and the right to life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death. In keeping with the pastoral plan of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, we are committed to: offering information and education, supporting pastoral care for mothers, their babies and post-abortive women, influencing public policy and encouraging prayer and worship.

Our ministry has sponsored the following activities for our parish:

• The Spiritual Adoption program and Baby Shower to benefit St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Care Center
• Rosary for Life on Sunday nights in the Memorare Chapel
• Cemetery of the Innocents crosses display
• Information events on Life issues
• Support of Diocesan sponsored events: March for Life, Life Chain and the Rosary Novena

The committee is composed of two levels of membership:

• Full Members attend quarterly meetings and plan parish activities
• Associate Members are informed of and support the ministry activities
