Our Youth Faith Formation's Mission is to lead students to a deeper understanding of the person and message of Jesus, through the study of the Word, the Sacraments, the Church and Social Justice. Students will gain insight into self-acceptance, personal spirituality and their role in the Church today.
Our goal is to offer students the tools to pursue the wonder and mystery of God in themselves, their community and their world as they journey with Christ.
We invite youth who have been confirmed to share their gifts and talents with their younger brothers and sisters as Peer Mentors.
The Youth Faith Formation team serves the youth of the parish by accompanying them on their faith journey, assisting them in discovering their gifts and discerning their call to ministry as they enter adulthood in the Catholic Church. To enable youth on their journey of deepening faith, a faith that will empower them to embrace the vision of Christ, and participate fully in the life of the Church and build the Kingdom of God in their homes, their communities and their world.
We work with our youth through the Youth Music Team, overnight retreats, worship and prayer, community building and service that comes from a response to the faith we live. The entire community is called to minister to our young people by being strong, vibrant role models and by being a strong Christian community that continues the mission of Jesus. Some are called to become involved with one specific activity which may involve a few hours, while others are called to be a part of the youth planning team which involves their whole lives. If you are called to serve our youth on their journey, if you can teach, cook, dance, play, sing, listen, love veggie tales, and will open your heart to the Lord Jesus and our Youth.....boy, have we got a ministry for you!*
